      The AA5 glareshield sliding defroster vents have a rectangular fitting where
      the scat tubing attaches. Just how do you keep the scat tubing on, since the
      scat tubing is round and the vent fitting is rectangular?
      Is there some type of A-Dapter available, or do you just hammer to fit the
      scat tubing?

      =============
      Something is not right ... the old/origional design heater vent has a short
      piece of aluminum riveted onto it that takes the basic rectangular hole to a
      sloppy oval hole. The SCAT tube is aggressively pressed up over this oval and

      tried to be held on with ty-wraps.

      The second method is to use RTV sealant to help hold the SCAT tubing, this of
      course is a more permanent installation and does not lend itself well to
      maintenance.

      The third method is --- One of the AYA'ers did a mold that replaces the
      entire defroster heater vent and has a very nice lip that the SCAT tube slips over

      and stays while you install a ty-wrap.

      SORRY, but I do not recall his name or phone number, he use to advertise in
      the STAR but I just looked and could not find his ad.

      Will the mold maker/AYA member please chime in.
