    From: "Ferraro, Jeffrey Thomas" <jferraro@mail.smu.edu>
--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Ferraro, Jeffrey Thomas" <jferraro@mail.smu.edu> We inspected the horiz stab x-thru and associated stiffeners on my '78 Tiger per advisory bulletin CE-04-34 issued 12/11. As luck would have it, all three stiffeners are cracked - seems to be fatigue-related as opposed to damage, though someone weighing down the tail for annual etc is a possibility...the sides crack near the radius at the very top, the bottom strengthener (very thin) obviously compresses with g-loading/turbulence-induced flexing of the stab, cracks are at the attachment to the vertical strenghteners. So far, we've removed the vertical fin and the top bulkhead (where the ELT mounts), will remove the horiz. stab next. Have the parts and K125A coming from FletchAir. Has anyone dealt with this repair or have any suggestions making the repair - if so, did you make any modifications (thicker stiffener, additional stiffener)?? Thanks, Jeff Ferraro AA5B N18745 McKinney, TX

I still haven't seen any cracks.
