Something is wrong here. Bad blade aerodynamics, perhaps? Gary, if you cut one of the blades perpendicular to its axis, you'd probably see something similar to a Clark Y airfoil. If you do this to the Sensenich 76 EM prop, you'll see a Rose E (for Henry Rose, the designer) airfoil. The Rose E is much more efficient. I know that MT is working on more efficient airfoil sections, as evidenced by the new scimitar blades being used on a Mooney conversion. Perhaps those will be mated with the electric hub and approved for Grummans. If that doesn't pan out, there is a chance that Aerocomposites will get FAA approval on their composite props (www.aerocomposites.com). Unfortunately, they don't have an electrically operated pitch mechanism. It's going to require a complete engine mod to adapt the Aerocomposite prop to a Grumman. Maybe they are going for the sex sells approach. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 12:40:07 PM PST US From: Matt Dralle Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Matronics Internet Connection Repaired!! --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: Matt Dralle Dear Listers, The phone company was out here bright and early this morning and repaired the wires and the T1 connection is back up and rock solid! Again my apologies for any inconvenience the disruption may have caused. Best regards, Matt Dralle Matronics Email List Admin.
