--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: FLYaDIVE@aol.com Hi TEAM: You know it is funny, funny curious. After asking about the engraving and what may be engraved on the gas cap I received many useful replies. ALL from the TEAM, but not ONE from the guy doing the engraving. Another thought I had on engraving. I'm pretty sure the cap is coated for protection from rust, (at least on the AA-5) more than likely with zinc (galvanized) coating. Engraving would remove the coating. Yup, you should paint the cap after it is engraved, but that is not as good as galvanizing and how deep is the engraving? Could the paint fill back in the engraving? Oh! What about the FAA requirement of contrasting colors? I guess you could do the engraved area with a contrasting color? Naw, Placards work, I'll stick with placards. What I would like is a tie point inside the filler neck to hook a chain, so I don't lose the cap. Barry "Chop'd Liver"

--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "I-K Technologies (Ralph Krongold)" <2pilots@comcast.net> Hi Guys - We're looking for a partner (or partners) in the Los Angeles area for our Grumman Tiger. It's a great plane, but we just haven't been able to fly it as often as it deserves. Right now it's based at SMO (Santa Monica) but we'd consider relocating to WHP (Whiteman), VNY (Van Nuys), HHR (Hawthorne) or other nearby airport. Specs: -- 1500 hours, engine & airframe -- fresh annual (showed great engine compression) -- all logs available -- no damage history -- IFR equipped -- IK2000 flight & engine monitor (installed with 337 Field Approval) -- exterior 6-7 -- interior 8-9 -- adjustable cowl flaps -- 4-place intercom We're looking for partners based on a total value of $59,000. Interested or know someone else who might be? Please contact Ralph or Helene at 2pilots@comcast.net or call us at 310-745-1130. Ralph
