Aircraft Engravers engraves the top surface of aluminum fuel caps with text supplied by the customer The FAA requires: Quantity and Fuel type What the customer wants and how it is laid out is up to your imagination. although N-numbers and tank identification are very common. You can see some samples at http://engravers.net/aircraft/fuel_caps.htm Wayne Cahoon Aircraft Engravers (860) 653-2780 (860) 653-7324 Fax http://engravers.net/ ----- Original Message ----- From: <FLYaDIVE@aol.com> Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Fuel Cap Engraving, Labeling, Indentifying > In a message dated 1/23/04 5:15:39 PM Eastern Standard Time, > wayne@engravers.net writes: > > > --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Wayne Cahoon @ Aircraft Engravers" > < > > wayne@engravers.net> > > > > Have your Fuel Caps engraved, it's permanent and easy to read. --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Wayne Cahoon @ Aircraft Engravers" <wayne@engravers.net> Barry, Please give me a chance. Your original email came in at 5:15 Friday after I left work. This is the first I've seen this email on Monday morning. I have been responding to all the other emails I received in the order that they came in. Up to now we have been engraving the aluminum style caps from many different manufactures wit great success. We do engrave through any protective top surface treatment or clear coating to a depth approximately .025". The engraving is filled with a two part enamel paint and then clear coated to flush with the top surface. Tell me about your caps, I would have to see your cap and know what it is made from to know if we can engrave yours. Sorry for the slow reply.
