I am currently redoing my panel for my 1992 tiger to reflect a more modern design. The panel will be powder coated and silk-screened. I can do a panel for your aircraft and make modifications to instrument placements. I have paid for the CADD transfer of our panel and can custom make a panel for your aircraft. I am trying to offset the setup costs for the panel layout. Please call at 480-510-6534. I have included a jpeg drawing of the panel to view. I ran this ad for my Blazer 99 Chevy Blazer. w/every option, Excellent Cond. 96K. $3000 below market. Will consider any offer. (661) 951-1190 I have received over 30 calls. Without exception, everyone thinks I'm asking $3000 for the Blazer. Maybe it's me. The ad seems clear enough. Years ago, when I wrote technical reports for the Flight Test Center at Edwards, my supervisor told me I needed to write as though I were writing to 7th graders. So, if technical reports are for 7th graders, are newspaper ads for 3rd graders? You can't see the engine gauges. The throttle quadrant eats up leg room. The avionics are too far to the right. The fresh are box (plenum) under the panel eats up a lot of space. .... Look at the instrument panel I made for the Perfect Tiger. (well, perfect at the time it was made. If I sell my Blazer, I'm going to build a better Tiger). Go to www.AuCountry.com, click on Team Grumman, click on projects. Scan down until you find perfect Tiger. There are a few things I'd do differently on that panel. The panel in the AA1C is a Kokaska overlay. Gary ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 09:29:42 AM PST US From: "Daniel F. Well, actually, I'd read that on first glance as "$3000, below market". Since that's the only price listed, it looks like that's your price, and you're stating it's "below market" (which it would be). (and for reference on educational ratings, I made it all the way to a B.S. in Chemistry, and did exceptionally well on the English section of the SAT) I'm going to have to say I think you didn't make that very clear, since I, for instance, and I suspect 99% of the readers don't know what "market" would be off the top of our heads... Instead of only $3000 below market, you should have said what market actually was, and then there wouldn't have been the confusion. Additionally, don't forget most ad *writers* aren't very adept.. How many ads do you see with something significant mangled? I've seen lots in the paper, on ebay, enough that if it was worth checking into, I'd have to call about it. (Heck, look at AOPA's classifieds and notice how many of those get mangled?) So Dave, if you don't mind who did your paint job? Gary tells me that it was rather inexpensive and looked great. I have a 75 Tiger that is long overdue but with all the other things I want to do to it (Radios, new panel etc.)I want to keep the cost low on paint for now. Thanks for the help. ________________________________ Message 9 _____________________________________ Time: 04:11:33 PM PST US From: "Steven Jackson" Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Rocker Box Covers and Push Rod Tubes --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Steven Jackson" Anybody got any spare covers and tubes suitable for chrome plating? ________________________________ Message 10 ____________________________________ Time: 04:13:59 PM PST US From: "Steven Jackson" Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Sorry (was Rocker Box Covers and Push Rod Tubes) --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Steven Jackson" I hit send before I completed the email. I figured anyone looking for a Blazer would have an idea what they are worth. I really didn't expect it to turn out like a story problem. Like I tell my students, RTP: Read The Problem. So, if I just said... "below BB", do you think there would be any confusion? ________________________________ Message 12 ____________________________________ Time: 05:51:51 PM PST US From: TeamGrumman@aol.com Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Mixture Cable --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: TeamGrumman@aol.com off the top of your heads, Cliff?, what is the length of the mixture cable. otherwise, where can I look it up without taking one out and measuring it? ________________________________ Message 13 ____________________________________ Time: 06:03:58 PM PST US Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Mixture Cable From: Bob Milligan --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: Bob Milligan If it's any help, I have brand new Vernier mixture cable in my garage which has never been installed.
