Thanks for the inquiry. I've been up to my a$$ in fixing a Tiger. Still
several (10) hours of work to do on it. The owner picked it up yesterday and
will bring it back when the back-ordered stuff comes in.
As for the cowling. I have the second, or is it the third, version on the
plane now and plane a flight to Auburn either tomorrow or Tuesday. I want to
get some extended speeds and not just 30 second shots at various altitudes.
I plan on climbing to 10,500 from here and then hitting all of the even
altitudes for at least 20 minutes each all the way back down to pattern altitude
in
Auburn.
Right now, it looks like there isn't much difference (speed wise) in the
three cowlings. This latest version will eliminate the nose boot and be split
all the way down the middle. I still have a fairing I want to try on the back
of the nose gear where it meets the fuselage.
Stand by for news.
