When using steel and aluminum, the steel bolt will corrode first. When using SS bolts, the aluminum will corrode first, so we usually use Cad plated Cres or some other corrosion inhibiting compounds to isolate the SS from the aluminum. __________________________________ http://promotions.yahoo.com/design_giveaway/ ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:54:28 AM PST US From: "Park, Edward" Subject: RE: TeamGrumman-List: AA-5B/AG-5B MT Propeller STC --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Park, Edward" There is a Grumman at John Wayne airport with the MT prop. -----Original Message----- From: owner-teamgrumman-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-teamgrumman-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of LesDrag@aol.com Subject: TeamGrumman-List: AA-5B/AG-5B MT Propeller STC --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: LesDrag@aol.com Hi All, There had been some discussions about the MT Propeller STC for the Grumman Tiger a short while ago. There was a concern about the high cost of the STC ($15,000 was stated) and the 2500 RPM operating limitation per the STC. Is there an owner of a stock AA-5B, or AG-5B, in the Southern California area, that is interested in the MT Propeller STC at 2700 RPM? MT Propeller has offered to work with me in developing additional FAA STC's. I have already contacted the proper FAA person for the Southern California area, and I believe I understand what will probably be required for this new STC.
