I had my house "lightly" burgled last week and apparently my flight bag looked like a good vehicle for loot (as the rest of my luggage was removed from the closet but rejected and my headset and misc. other stuff dumped from the flight bag). Thankfully I'd started keeping an Excel spreadsheet of my pilot logs a couple of weeks previous and had all of my time entered in. In addition the FAA was able to fax me a copy of my ticket good for 60 days until a new license is issued. Thankfully I've not been a private pilot very long and haven't had any endorsements since my check ride about 18 months ago. I had just hours accrued so I really didn't lose much. Other's I suspect wouldn't be so lucky so I encourage everyone to make backup copies of this valuable data. Best regards, Jamey James Courtney AA5B N72T @ KSQL ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:03:39 PM PST US From: "Cory Emberson" Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Stolen certificate and log book --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Cory Emberson" Yikes! Thanks for the heads-up. Might be a good idea to also copy all the aircraft logs, etc., as well. best, Cory >
