I bolted it to the support brackets as shown in this picture. I placed it so the double bolt bracket is slid up the triangular brackets and just touching the flange of the cross tray. In this position, it pushes the cable down about 1/8 inch. I'll call Fletchair tomorrow, and get a dimension for the bolt holes. Since my brackets are not drilled for the auto pilot, it could be that the tray is different.... Will take a photo Monday.... gil A Tail all back together, new support brackets bonded, riveted and primed - just need to bolt the vertical on... I found the adjustment to be quite sensitive. I aimed for the middle - one way the control column hit the firewall - the other way the stick couldn't be pulled back enough to hit the upper stop. There was not a lot of adjustment available in the area where neither of these two things occurred. Setting the control stops at the elevator was easy with the cables removed...: ) I don't think the cables had ever been adjusted looking at the turnbuckles... ...gil A PS when it''s hot, which end of the cable tension range should you aim for? It's been a long time since I installed a C-I AP but I'm quite sure the cable should not be deflected at all if it is adjusted to the proper tension. In fact it should probably have about 1/16" clearance typically. I seem to recall that I had to shim one end of the servo bracket with some washers, but it's been so long I don't recall why. I don't recall any other parts or loose pieces. Fletcair should be able to help you. How much are you going to pay for them? Are you going to buy them or were you asking if I was interested in buying them? Since the airframe expands faster than the steel cables the tension will increase with temp. I'd just set the cable at the upper limit of the tolerance range.
