I removed the old Aeroflash power supply, the wiring, and the old lens cap and light. I also removed the Autozone special turn-signal flasher that was installed, by a previous owner I assume, when the power supply died. Anyway, the question relates to the resistor bar that's installed on late AA-1A and on two seaters. Since the Whelen light is a strobe, and not a "rotating" beacon, do I need to keep the resistor bar in the wiring? The resistor bar I'm talking about is about 4" long and mounted, on the bulkhead forward of the tail inspection covers. My mechanic and I weren't really sure what purpose that thing served with the old system installed. If anyone is desperate for a lens cap and light assembly (Aeroflash), I've got one that you can have cheap... ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:04:28 PM PST US From: ArjayS@AOL.COM Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Replacing Aeroflash (and Detroit) with Whelen --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: ArjayS@aol.com In a message dated 10/17/04 10:00:56 PM, steven.jackson14@adelphia.net writes: > If anyone is desperate for a lens cap and light assembly (Aeroflash), I've > got one that you can have cheap... > > COOL! I am looking for a replacement lens. Can you sell it to me? How much would you like for it? Thanks! I'm not sure what it'll cost to ship--maybe 5 bucks or so, so tell me what you're willing to pay for it, add $5 for UPS ground, and its yours. Its not cracked, but it is original. The lens is still fairly clear, just not new...
