--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "flyv35b" <flyv35b@ashcreekwireless.com> Gary, I just got home this afternoon from down in So. Cal. (AOPA, etc.). I got to fly a Lancair out of Torrance for about 15 minutes. What a fantastic plane that was! I have never been pushed back that far in the seat on takeoff in anything else. Climbing at 110 kts at 2200 FPM was pretty exciting. 220 kts at 7000 ft. at 2300 rpm and 22 in. wasn't bad either. It looks like it may be the ultimate practical traveling marchine that is even remotely affordable. Pretty expensive at that.
