5 psi inlet pressure is VERY common. Grumman says that 0.5-8 psi is the
acceptable range. I can't image the needle shutting off 3.5 psi and not
shutting off at 6 psi. So what they are saying is that the float level can
vary with inlet pressure! This sounds like a cop-out reason to me or if
true pretty poor performance of the float/needle and seat combination.
