They just got a second carb off a Piper that's doing the same thing. Anyway, it made me start thinking about whether or not there might be something else wrong. I was curious as to whether or not my electric fuel pump might be causing the problem. My mech was saying that there's a pressure sensor in there so that when the fuel system is fully pressurized, the pump automatically shuts off. If my pump wasn't shutting off when it should, and just kept pumping more fuel into the carb, could that cause the leak I'm having? Pump seems to run strong and fine, but a like I said a couple of weeks ago--I get higher fuel pressure readings now than I used to. Old pressure with pump on was 4-6 psi. New pressure runs around 6-8. I know the service manual says 8 is OK, but that's for a stock AA-1B, and I didn't know if the change between MA-SPA-3 and MA-SPA-4 would have a difference.
