When I looked there about 6 years ago, they wanted a fire suppression system - and a new conditional use permit - installed if you wanted to build a hangar on the common area. Some lots came with construction rights for a single hangar near the end of the runway.... Also no fuel available locally. Gil A .... moved to La Cholla Airpark (%&AZ) in Tucson.... with cheap fuel... but still expensive 7 acre lots...: ( At 06:53 AM 12/16/2004, you wrote: >--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "flyv35b" > > >Not to mention the price of the lots, which I understand is pretty >expensive. > >Cliff >----- Original Message ----- >From: >To: >Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Things are awfully quiet ... > > > > --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: TeamGrumman@aol.com > > > > > > In a message dated 12/15/04 2:31:40 PM, edward.park@ingrammicro.com > > writes: > > > > > >> Is the name of the airport Grass Valley Airport ?=A0=A0 I can't find it > >> on > >> www.airnav.com=A0 > >> > >> These are the only ones that show up: > >> > >> O17=A0 Grass Valley, CA, USA=A0 Nevada County Air Park=A0=A0 > >> > > > > It's actually Nevada County. I can probably free up some time to help you get your hanger set up up there some weekend in January if you'd like the help. I figure I'll more than make the time back up in not flying to Lancaster;) Jamey -----Original Message----- From: owner-teamgrumman-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-teamgrumman-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Anna3003@AOL.COM Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Things are awfully quiet ... --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: Anna3003@aol.com Yippee! Everytime I've been there, either with a plane or by car, every resident I met seemed hostile. Like, "What do you want and why are you here?" I even went there with a Real Estate agent and the first comment from the first person who saw us said, "This is=20a private community. You can't just walk around and look at property." The RE told me the C&Rs were very strict about who did what to whom and when. If you live there, there is even a restriction on the number of friends you can have fly in and visit at any one time. I think it was 2 planes. Hopefully, Nevada County is more friendly. ________________________________ Message 14 ____________________________________ Time: 10:18:39 PM PST US From: "Steven Jackson" Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Two Questions --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "Steven Jackson" TG, 1. Has anyone ever thought of putting an IO-320 in a AA-1X? I know you'd have to install some type of fuel return to the tanks, but are there clearance issues inside the cowling or anything? Would there be increased weight that would make it prohibitive? 2. Reading the "Speed with Efficiency" book, if a plenum for engine cooling is so efficient, why don't manufacturers (other than older Mooneys) use them, and again, would designing one for the AA-X be worthwhile? If I remember correctly Gary, you're using one on your new cowling for the 4 seaters, right? I guess a new nosebowl would be one thing you'd have to add. Steven Jackson N1434R L22 Yucca Valley, CA
