One of the hardest things I have to do when I paint is to wait (for me, I do 1/2 hour) betwen coats and when it's got 3 (or however many) coats to QUIT! I hate to just pour that expensive paint into a jug and waste it instead of 'just a little more here and there'. I feel your pain! Keep up the good work .... and post some pics when you get a chance. I spent the entire day sanding and prepping to paint. It has taken about 6-10 hours of prep for each hour of painting. I made a stand for painting the cowling sides today. The final prep amounts to masking and getting the paint booth ready. I should be painting by noon. Gary PS, I lucked out on the upper cowling. I mixed up exactly the right amount for 3 complete coats of the jet Glow. That hasn't ever happened before. Painting the inlets and exit ramps in place without runs is going to be interesting.
