I had long suspected my Tiger was one of the planes with a misdrilled aileron
counter weight. The down travel on the left aileron barely cleared the
bottom of the wing tip. So, I got the rigging tools and sure enough, the down
travel on the left aileron was only 3-4 degrees (it is supposed to be 7 1/2, +2
1/2, -0. Of course, this makes the up travel on the right aileron only 13
degrees (15 +2 1/2, -0). It took some whittling on the sleeve on the 1/4 bolt
and some filing on the stops, but I got the travel to agree left to right to
the specs. Both sides were out some. The left was the worst.
Now, I'm going to start on the Flaps, and then onto the elevator and rudder.
I don't often get to work on my own plane. I'm waiting for parts so .....
