Some professional drafting like prints would be great. Any ideas? Could you take pictures from all the necessary angles, scan them on computer, then import them into a paint program. Then you could just outline the pictures to get the necessary lines and profiles, get rid of the picture you're drawing over, and voila. I did this once to design a logo and didn't have any kind of nifty design software. Took me about an hour or so, but the end result was pretty tight... I think I used a combination of MS Paint and PowerPoint to do it all. Another help could be an online machine shop website, that had a downloadable CAD program that you could use to draw up designs. It has a steep learning curve to get the hand of drawing arcs and things, but it has a tutorial and then you could print out the drawing. It has a dimensional scale, and allows you to set lengths, widths, etc. www.emachineshop.com is the site. They put the site together so you could draw the design and then send it out over the internet to machine shops so they could bid the project.
