I think so. If I can get my composite guy to work on the cowling and not on
secret government projects. Seriously, he's been incognito for about 6
months. Hopefully he'll be back soon.

OK if we can agree on 6 months as a high end, then I can probably accomodate
      the process.
      Tell me more.

      First, where are you located?

The process is that I have another cowling made up and then fit it to the
      plane.

When I did mine, the fitting took about 2 week2. There is a lot more to it
than first meets the eye. The first step is to get the cowling to fit
between the spinner and the firewall mounting surface. This takes two or three

people holding things in place while pilot holes are drilled, locating the
mounting nut plates on the firewall. Once the bottom cowling is fitted, the upper

has to be fitted. With the hinge, the whole process can get pretty
aggravating because the hnge has to go in the center, the upper cowling is made
      as a
single part, so it has to be cut and trimmed and fitted, then once the upper is

in place, the edges need to be trimmed to fit. Even the hinge line (on the
cowling) needs to be trimmed to fit.

Once the cowling is on, the baffles need to be fitted. Since I haven't done
a Traveler before, all the baffles will need to be made from scratch. As I
recall, I spent about a week fitting the baffles. Then, they need to be
powdercoated, baffle seals applied, and then fitted to the engine and plane.

Since the O320 is narrower than the O360, I need to change the baffles around
the (cooling air) inlet to make that work. I may even have to change the
inlets. Once all that is done, and everything is fitted, get a DER to sign off

on a test flight and go flying.

Feel free to ask any other questions.
      Gary

      Hi Gary
I'm in Wi. just north of Milwaukee and south of that weirdly famous airport.
      Oshkosh.
When would you want to start?

How about starting in about a month. I'll let you know when the parts are
      made.
