Great for saying postings re: fly-ins are okay.  Will post more information 
about fly-in to Santa Rosa October 29.  

My fah-in-law has a C-1A.  My husband and he are both are going to be type 
rated in it and had plans to do so by now... but the mechanic, who did not heed

the warnings of my fah-in-law, folded the wings without a lookout and crumpled

something.  Needless to say that has delayed flying.  For those of you who do 
not know the plane, it is a Grumman used for carrier landings hauling folks 
and cargo... and its wings fold up.  Pretty neat.

Anyways, if plane is flyable there may be rides, but pretty sure it's not 
going to be yet.  If another opportunity opens up later in the year or in the 
Spring we'll invite Grumman folks to come back to Santa Rosa for a ride.

I'll be posting information about meeting time etc. for the fly-in in October 
and will start finding out more about what to do there.  Understand there is 
a decent restaurant on the field.
