So far, I only have one taker on the cowling at the intro price of $6000. A
Powerflow is $4600. A LoPresti nose bowl is $3000.
Anyway, the DER took the paperwork to the ACO a couple of weeks ago. THe
only holdup is the drawings. Or lack of .... I should be getting some
samples in a day or two. Keep your fingers crossed.

Just curious, have you thought of adding a second landing light? I think
quite a few people might be interested in having an option for more light.
I would be interested in more details about the cowl. I've looked at the
web page, but there appears to be many mis linked photos, or photos and
pages that won't open. What changes if any to the baffles are needed, or
required? Will it fit an mid production traveler with the powerflow(short)?
Thanks, Kevin

Where would you put the second landing light if you had a choice. In front
of where the alternator is? In front where the starter is? Down low where
the muffler sits? As for the space under the left inlet, that space is being
reserved for a change to the inlet/air filter. I suppose I could make a
bulge in the cowling and put it just about anywhere. Any suggestions? The
location where the landing light is now is about the only place I had available.
Besides, I've landed at night at airports with no runway lights and had
plenty of light. Variations of the boom beam are available.
As for the web site, with the exception of one thumbnail picture that links
to the wrong bigger picture, all of the links on the cowling page work fine=20for
me.
As for fit: The cowling will "fit" any AA1 or AA5 series airplane. The
AA5 will be the next one I'm going to get an STC for.

Gary,
I know you're not anywhere near STC's for the two-seaters, but if by chance
you eventually did, would the AA-1 series accept the cowl (minus changes to
baffling, intakes, etc. as a direct replacement? Or would there also be a
prop extension or something of the like as well?

I'm going to let others work on the 2-seater. I have about $50,000 tied up
in my cowling at this point. If you want to put up the money, I'll thing
about it. A new cowling for a Cessna 172 would be a better investment though.
