      I agree, Gary.  For a short time I had a halogen bulb installed and really 
      liked the extra light and lower wattage. Quartz halogen version of GE 4509 
      (with longer life) - Q4509.  As I understand it is not legal to put one in 
      without an STC.  If you were going through the paperwork anyway and if it 
      was easy to put in a one liner- "Q4509 installed"- then I'd say that is 
      plenty of improvement.
