Greetings:
I just purchased a Plane Power alternator for my AA5 Traveler. Judging
from the website and ads, I hoped to save up to 4 pounds from my stock
alternator. This is not the case. The stock alternator on the AA5x
aircraft weighs about 10.8 pounds. The Plane Power alternator weighs 9.9
pounds, a 0.9 pound savings. This is too little to justify one of these
alternators on the basis of weight alone.
