Hi West Coasters,
An FYI for anyone flying into Fresno Air Terminal (KFAT), the transient =
parking area between the tower and the air carrier ramp has been closed =
off. These dozen or so parking spaces used to be available free of =
charge. Overnight parking is now limited to Mercury or Corporate =
Aircraft, for a fee. Mercury will waive one night's fee for a minimum =
of 10 gallons of gas and is a 24 hour FBO. Corporate Aircraft closes at =
10:00 p.m. The folks at Mercury were really helpful when I was there =
last week, although the changes seemed to have caught them off guard as =
well with many more small aircraft using their ramp. The KFAT airport =
manager, who would rather keep the original parking spaces open, was =
supposed to have a meeting with his cohorts last week, but early =
indications look like the situation may be permanent.
