Subject: | Superior Millenium Overhaul |
I talked to Penn Yan about the Superior OH, as they are a dealer for
Superior, among other OH options. Their comments, as I recall, were that
the warrantee was valid only if the owner did substantial documented
maintenance at interim intervals - something like 100 hr inspections
required for rentals/school planes (although I do not recall the specifics).
The bottom line was that he said it was really more suitable for flight
schools than private owners. Anyway, that was my take, but you might call
them to get the scoop directly.
My personal preferences for OH at this point would be Lycon, if I was on the
west coast, and Magnum on the east coast.
Regards,
Doug
