I flew from Fredericksburg Texas to Collegeville PA (N10) - Gary Vought
with his newly designed cowling, with me flying my stock Tiger - as a two
ship formation.
Observations:
1)His Tiger leaves mine in the dust (really really leaves it behind - even
at high altitude where I can usually do OK)
2) His new cowling looks awesome - and it received comments in the places we
landed.
3) He never had to reduce power for cooling.
(Oh - yeah - also - he is alive and well)

p.s. I am no aeronautical engineer - and there are too many degrees of
freedom for me to say that the Vought Cowl was responsible for everything -
but I want one in a big big way.
ppss We made the flight in one day - Gary was nice enough to throttle way
back to allow me to keep up.
