What I have noticed, is that the condition of the fins make a big difference. 
  I also like the 8406 oil cooler although I don't think Fletcher's oil 
cooler STC's include this one.   Why not I can't say.   It isn't vacuum brazed
like 
the Niagra oil coolers they recommend.   

I also noticed a 15 degree decrease in oil temp (at an ambient of 115+ on the 
desert) when using the larger cooling air exit ramps that I have made to 
order.   

Send me some really detailed pics of all of your baffling.   Let me see what 
you have.
