He's only had the plane less than a year. 1977 AA5A Cheetah 2100+ hrs total time air frame 600+ since major overhaul I recently replaced the mags and wiring harness, both brakes and rudder springs. Also, this last annual, 8/14/06, I installed a Garmin 340 audio panel. I also installed drilled yokes with PTT. This is a very nice Cheetah that needs a good home. Owen has about $60,000 in the plane and I know he'd like to recover some of that. As far as I know, he is askiing $55,000 OBO. Let me know if there is any interest. ________________________________________________________________________ across the web, free AOL Mail and more. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:27:17 AM PST US Subject: TeamGrumman-List: AG5B Alternator question From: teamgrumman@AOL.COM --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: teamgrumman@aol.com The last time I replaced an alternator on an AG5B Tiger was about 6 years ago. Well, I'm doing a FWF on a 92 Tiger. I took the engine off about 3 months ago. Yesterday I installed the alternator. These alternatos only have two wires on them. The alternator has a large terminal lug (that's the easy one), and, there are two field terminals, F1/F2. As I recall, on the last one I did, there was a little tag on the alternaor having something to do with using or not using a jumper between the F1 and F2. When I installed the alternator yesterday, I put the field wire on F1. The wiring diagram in the service manual is useless. The R&R of the alternator says nothing about the terminals either. Things have sure changed a lot since that service manual was written. If I could have left the instructions for R&R of my new cowling as vague as the instructions in the service manual, I could have had them approved a year ago. ________________________________________________________________________ across the web, free AOL Mail and more.
