If you look forward to checking your List email everyday (and a lot of you have
written to say that you do!), then you're probably getting at least 0 or 0 worth
of Entertainment from the Lists each year. You'd pay twice that for a subscription
to some lame magazine or even a dinner out. Isn't the List worth at
least that much to you? Wouldn't it be great if you could pay that same amount
and get a well-managed media source free of advertising, SPAM, and viruses?
Come to think of it, you do...
Won't you please take a minute to make your Contribution today and support YOUR
Lists?

Again, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has made a Contribution thus far
during this year's List Fund Raiser!! These Lists are made possible exclusively
through YOUR generosity!!
Thank you for your support!

Well, I'm VERY much LESS than impressed with the product support from
the LASAR folks. Personally, I don't think they are interested in
selling any LASAR ignition systems.
Here is what happened: Remember the pissed off customer? He wanted
the LASAR ignition system. He did all of the footwork with Ken at
LyCon when he arranged to have them do the overhhaul and installation
of the LASAR. Well, LyCon used a 12v controller for the LASAR for
engine testing. I can only guess that the customer (my pissed off
customer) didn't say his was a 24 volt Tiger. Ken sent the 12v
controller with the engine when he sent it back to me. I sent the
controller back, thinking I could get a 24 volt controller. After all,
it's the ignition harness that has to be made up 'special' for each
installation. WRONG. I've been waiting 3 months for the 24 volt
controller.
The lead time on the ignition harness is something like 6 to 8 weeks.
It seems they have to make them to fit. There are a LOT of wires in
the leads to the mags. OK, so, it takes a while to make up the
harness. I'm at 3 months and counting.
At this point, I wouldn't recommend that anyone even consider the LASAR
ignition system. Besides horrible product support, timing the mags is
a true pain in the ass.
Have you seen any of the Distributerless Ignitions Systems out there?
Available for homebuilts? Clean, simple, reliable installations. It's
a good thing the FAA is keeping flying safe for all the certified
planes . . . . that sit on the ground waiting for certified parts to
arrive....
