I was watching one about the Arab-Israeli 7-day war I had on Tivo this morning. Apparently not only did the Israeli's get the first three kills using an F-15 in 1979 they did it using three different methods (heat-seaking missle, radar missle, guns) in one engagement. Not only that they've gone on to rack up 50+ kills since with 0 F-15s lost. Not bad. Reason #724 I love Tivo... Then, it ends with him shooing down 7 zeros in another dogfight while flying a Grumman Hellcat. The next episode was of a B-17 "Old 666" taking on 17 Jap Zeros in a dogfight. ________________________________________________________________________ across the web, free AOL Mail and more. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 08:41:39 PM PST US Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Snow From: teamgrumman@aol.com Well, I guess I can never again say it doesn't snow in Auburn. About 3:00p this afternoon, I was sitting in my truck, yakking on the phone, watching it rain. Funny thing though, from time to time, the rain looked very slushy. After getting off the phone, I went back to work and listened to the rain on the hangar. About 4:00p it started to get quiet. I thought the rain had stopped. About 6p when I shutdown and opened the hangar door to leave, there was 2 inches of snow on my truck. Big snow too. Two inch diameter snow flakes. Reminded me of some serious snow storms in Salt Lake City. The weatehr is supposed to continue through tomorrow. ________________________________________________________________________ across the web, free AOL Mail and more. ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 09:30:38 PM PST US From: Tiger67B Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Re: TeamGrumman-List Digest: 1 Msgs - 02/26/07 A B-17 'dogfighting' with 17 Zeros ??
