| Subject: | 1977 Tiger for sale |
I am doing an annual on a very rough Tiger. It really needs a good
home. It has 1600+ hours total time since new. Original engine.
Original everything. The plane itself is pretty straight. I'd buy it
for a project plane. Paint: 0/10. Interior: 0/10. Avionics: well
they worked well enough to get the plane here. Windows/Windshield:
0/10. Wheel pants and plastic: 0/10.
I am removing the left wing to reseal. It will get new mags, new
hoses, an overhauled muffler, an overhauled McCauley prop, new spinner
bulkheads, new carb inlet duct, repacked wheel bearings, possible new
brakes, and a complete annual inspection.
The owner has lost his medical. He says he has a 'friend' who, he
says, can paint his plane in his hangar. Based on what I've seen so
far, PLEASE BUY THIS PLANE AND PROTECT IT FROM IT'S OWNER! He thinks
that after the annual the plane will be worth $55,000. After painting,
who knows what he'll ask. Buy it now for $40,000. That's his current
asking price.
What do I think it's worth? Hard to say. Like I said, the plane
itself is straight. It's just been neglected.

I would post this on GG but I've been I've been booted off again.
Something about aol blocking GG emails. I got an email back that asks
me to resubscribe because of something aol does. That's nonsense.
When this happened on TeamGrumman-List, Matt Dralle fixed it for
everyone on his own time. Now, that's what I call service. Thanks
