# Last year I pulled out of going specifically because of not
# getting a few questions through and getting abused on the one
# that did get through.
Too bad, you missed a good time.
Think about it (I'm sure you have). You made a decision based on the actions
of one person, who is well known to have a thin skin, and who had nothing to
do with planning the convention.
As others have pointed out, there are other forums. But Mark's was there a
long time ago, and will probably continue to be the medium of choice for a
long time to come.
Meanwhile, you can find plenty of information about this year's convention
here:
http://www.aya.org/aya.aspx?pgID=1077
No apologies for the cryptic URI, that's just how the new web site operates.
Brush up on your soft-field technique. One possible fly-out is a short hop
to Amana. http://carneyaviation.com/sacto/images/mcc06034.jpg
Bring another pilot along - the first thing you'll pass on the short walk
from airport to town, is a microbrewery.
Don Cochran and Arnie Sperfslage are the convention chairmen. If you have
questions that aren't answered on the link given above, try Don by email:
central@aya.org. Or post a question here, or on the AYA forum,
http://ayaforum.org. From what I can see, the AYA forum doesn't get a lot of
traffic. Neither does Team Grumman, but you'll get a quick response here.

Yesterday, I thought about Greg Amy's comments, specifically, the spam featu
res. =C2-
As I understand it, if someone on AOL reads an email sent to the GG and feel
s like he either doesn't like the content or doesn't like the sender, all he
has to do is to hit the "SPAM" button on AOL and that sends an unsubscribe
to the GG. =C2-This is without any over-site of the site monitor: Mark.
That, my friends, puts everyone at risk from someone's vengeance. =C2-This
is not good for anyone. =C2-It gives one person, on AOL, the power to cho
ose the subject matter that anyone can read. =C2-That gives one person the
power to unsubscribe anyone he chooses. =C2-
