I just finished restoration of a Cheetah, 1670 TTSN. =C2-Engine by LyCon, who else. =C2-It dyno'd at 188 hp, leaned, at 2725 rpm. =C2-With a =C2 -Power Flow, and a 61 inch pitch Sensenich [61 inch pitch], static rpm was just a touch over 2400 rpm, leaned. =C2- Yesterday was the first flight. =C2-Climbed at 1500 fpm at 92 knots right from take-off (1536 feet) to 4500 feet. =C2-Straight and level at 4500 fee t it easily ran over red-line. =C2-Too easily. =C2-Needs at least 2 inch es more pitch. =C2-Flew to Lancaster pushing a 20 to 30 knot headwind all the way. =C2-Two hours into the return flight, I took it to 12,000 feet, t urned red-line and then some, easily. =C2-Needs more prop. Complete instrument panel upgrade. =C2-2 430s, 340 audio panel and a 327 t ransponder. =C2-JPI EDM 700. =C2-Digital tach. =C2-Mitchell gauges, Au Country eyebrow, Nu-Lites. =C2- Paint and interior and this is as good or better than new. =C2-

Very impressive!!! What mods were done to the engine? I have been curious about the performance of a cheetah with a few modifications. Jeff In a message dated 9/20/2008 2:20:37 P.M.
