    Subject: Larger engine for Cheetah?
I have a 79 Cheetah that I have owned for over 20 years. It gets me there, but I was wondering if anyone had ever installed a larger engine (0-360 180HP or 200HP) in a Cheetah. I'm trying to decide if I should trade or sell it and buy a RV-6-7-8. Jim

Jim: My 1977 Cheetah was converted to a "Tiger" in 1980 under an STC. The conversion involves installation of an 0-360-A4K engine and the installation of a thicker thru wing spar to allow the increase in gross weight to 2400 lbs. I have had the plane since 1981 and could not be happier. If you have any questions give me a call.
