Just flew up to 13500. Maintained 1000fpm most of the way up at 80kts. The cold air sure helps along with that MT Propeller! I saw 247kts maximum ground speed and 40.8 kts minumum......backwards! That's -40.8kts if there is such a thing! Very intersting transition from slow flight to cruise.....the GPS speed decreased with application of power...all the way to 0 then climbed back up.... fun fun ned ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 08:49:19 PM PST US From: "Brian Hausknecht" Subject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: Speed Records... Yeah, yesterday was a good day for high groundspeeds in SoCal. Flew from San Diego to Mojave with a brutal headwind. But it turned into a great tailwind on the way home. 11,500' on the return; 205 KT groundspeed (110 KIAS). Fun while it lasted, and even smooth air over the mountains. --Brian On Sat, Dec 27, 2008 at 4:17 PM, 923te <923te@att.net> wrote: > Just flew up to 13500.
