It looked to me like the bolt holes on the outside lining pad/support (whatever

it's called) was drilled off center. That's Cleveland quality.

I've never seen puck wear like that before. My only input would be is the
correct back plate fitted. Could another p/n back plate fit the screw holes but

with different pad rivet hole position.?

Gary, when I worked at a tire store I was taught to always stack the new pa
d on top of the old one and feel with my fingers to make sure their edges m
      et all around.

Is it possible that the new pads are not the same width, or that they are w
hat was drilled off center from the old ones?

I have only done drakes on the plane twice, and never had a problem, howeve
r, I have not gotten a mirror to see what mine look like.- From the pic y
ou posted it looked like the pad was outside the outer diameter of the disc
       (rotor) is that correct?

The mirror picture may distort things, but that caliper doesn't look like a standard
Cleveland part to me, the profile is different and can't see the bleed valve
where I think it should be.

Ignore my last post, the picture you posted is so large on the forum site that
I was concentrating only on the mirror image. I see the bleed valve now and I
think shadows in the mirror image makes the profile of the caliper look different.

The part the brake lining is riveted to is drilled off of it's correct axis. I

looks to me like the whole part is offset.
