Relative to what?  Top of engine case to canopy rails?  You level reads 
out to the closest 0.05 degree increment?  i.e. 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 degrees?

  I bought a digital level that is accurate to .05 degrees.  Here are 
the results of a few planes.  All measurements in degrees down; i.e., 
down thrust angle.


  Tiger 86M:  .7 degrees


  Tiger 6FT:  .3 degrees


  Tiger 747:  .3 degrees


  Tiger 57V:  .15 degrees


  Traveler 89L:  .4 degrees


  Traveler 62U:  .35 degrees


  RV4:  0 degrees.


  Note:  ALL aircraft appeared to have the cowling aligned with the 
spinner.

OK, I'll try to clarify.  

When I say, "All measurements in degrees down; i.e., down thrust angle."  I mean

the down thrust angle from 0 degrees.  (if you wish, Google 'down thrust angle'

for a more complete description including pictures on some web sites.)

For example:  if Tiger 86M were all leveled out and a level was placed on the 
engine, it would read 0.7 degrees down.  Hence, the statement, "All measurements

in degrees down; i.e., down thrust angle."

I hope that helps.

Yes, when I said the accuracy was .05 degrees, that means .00, .05, .10, .15, 
.20, .25, . . . . .  .95, 1.00 (where 1.00 means 1 degree)
