It has two manifold pressure gauges. One of them is connected to manifold pressure. The other is connected to the static line. To the best of my knowledge, I'm the only one who has ever actually measured manifold pressure drop across the carb. Delta= difference between ambient and manifold pressure M1= manifold pressure M2=ambient Before engine start: Delta=0.0 WOT (Wide Open Throttle) for take-off/climb (elev=1550 feet) Delta=0.2 M1=28.7 M2=28.9 WOT @ 2500 feet and still accelerating Delta=0.2 M1=27.5 M2=27.7 WOT @ 2500 feet after 5 minutes Delta=0.1 M1=27.6 M2=27.7 Let me fill in the blank. My inlet gave back .1 inches of pressure. Not a lot all by itself. Now I need to try a few more planes. Next step is to compare two AG5Bs flying side by side. Gary By-the-way, I'm doing an annual on a Tiger with .5 degrees down thrust angle. It only has ONE shim on each mount (LORD -59 mounts). I know some of you would like to believe the planes are all the same and that an engine mount measured on a piece of glass to within one-millionth of an inch puts the cowling in the same place each time. It doesn't. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message teamgrumman-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/TeamGrumman-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/teamgrumman-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/teamgrumman-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
