Hi
I am very much interested in the new electronic ignition system, have seen
it in several other planes and all rave about it. So add me to the list:
Bill Stigile, 209-368-5849, Plane 1975 Tiger 180 HP.
Thanks
Bill Stigile

The system keeps one of your Mags (for safety & back up) and substitutes
a pick up sensor in place of the second mag. You should see an increase i

there will be an increase in usable horsepower and high altitude

I have spoken with the President Michael Kobylik and he is eager to work
with our group to get his product out there. We have discussed a group bu

and the discount will be determined by the response from customers.
Mike has asked that I send out some feelers to the group so he can judge
the interest.
This seems like a great product and since it is already STC'd for all 4
cyl. Lycoming powered Cessna's, it is just a matter of adding the Grumman'

to the AML which should take 30-45 days. We are scheduled to install a un

when the AML is done and can provide feedback at that time.
The system looks to be very high quality and simple. There are no
overhaul requirements, just inspection at tbo before installing a new engi
ne if
you choose to do so at that time. We have used similar systems in race ca

and have had excellent results.
Please forward me your information: Name, Phone number and Plane/engine
type if you would like to get in on the group buy. This is a no obligati

sign-up list and no up no money is due until you actually buy a system
when the group buy is finalized. By signing up you are not obligated to p

discounts can be determined. Final group buy pricing will only be availab

after the close of the list. If you are not on the list, you will not be
eligible for the group buy pricing.
The whole system lists for $3400.00 and sells retail for $2890 at Spruce,
and if there is enough interest we are working on a nice discount for the
group buy.
Michael has included this press release from Oshkosh and I have some
photos that I can forward since the Gang's server removes them.
Feel free to contact me or you can contact Michael directly. No further
details on the pricing will be available until we assemble the list for th

group buy. When that is done, there will be an announcement made here on
the Gang. Please don't bug Michael about pricing, but feel free to call t
o
discuss the system. If you do call Michael, please let him know that you
have a Grumman and that you heard about it from this email. For now, we
will keep the list open until Sept 15, 2011.

Subject: | Re: Planning time frames for Cowling |
Hi Matt,=0A=0ASorry about the delays. -Long story short is Dave has had a
bit of family stuff to deal with. -He has 2 cowling completed and is fin
ishing up the last one; it should be ready in a couple of weeks. -Once th
ey are all done, I drive to Lancaster to pick them up. -12 hours of drivi
ng in one day, round trip. -I have the boxes ready to go. -Shipping to
you is $300. -So, that's your balance. -I really appreciate your patien
ce. -=0A=0AI talked to Boris today; he installed the first one. -He sai
d it took a lot longer to install all the nutplates, cam locs, and hinge th
an it did to fit the cowling. -He said he has about 100 hours in it, incl
uding paint. -=0A=0AI think I met Brooks a long time ago. -If not, the
name sure sounds familiar. -=0A=0AWhen these cowlings are finished, I thi
nk I'll have him make another one so I have one in stock. -I wish I could
afford to sit on 3 or 4 of them.=0A=0AGary=0A=0A=0A_______________________
