Find someone that is building a metal experimental and using alodine for corrosion protection, and ask if you can do your panel parts in his bin. Yes, I could. -However, I have made a number of very small changes, mainl y on the right half, to make it go together easier; I notched around the sc rews on the bottom of the glove box and moved the hobbs hole .015 inches up . -And, I raised the right edge of the left side by .050. -I sent the n ew drawings into the FAA. -So, these don't match the drawing I submitted. -=0A=0A=0A________________________________=0AFrom: Linn Walters <pitts_p ilot@bellsouth.net>=0ATo: teamgrumman-list@matronics.com=0ASent: Friday, Au gust 19, 2011 7:24 AM=0ASubject: Re: TeamGrumman-List: instrument panel ove rlay liquidation=0A=0A=0AWhy not take them to your local plating shop and h ave them alodined???=0ALinn=0A=0AOn 8/18/2011 6:01 PM, Gary Vogt wrote: =0A I'm in the final steps of getting the instrument panel overlays FAA-PMA app roved as a direct replacement. -Problem is, the FAA requires they go out with a chem film plating (alodine) for corrosion resistance. -That means the 20 sets I have left can't be used.=0A>=0A>=0A>Buy up as many as you wan t for $100/each including shipping. -That's about $50 savings on each one . -Stock them and sell them yourself. -Not sure how much the PMAd parts =====================
