      I've fixed two of the later AG5Bs with stiff controls.=0A=0AApparently, som
      e genius in Martinsburg decided on changing the grease used in the controls
      . -This grease congeals and the controls become so stiff the plane become
      s unsafe to fly. -=0A=0AI'm sure it was just another improvement like the
       electrical system.=0A=0A----- Forwarded Message -----=0AFrom: Bert Gilling

      letin 194=0A=0A=0AHi Gary,=0AYou have probably seen this post, copied below
      , on the Gang. I recall that in 2005 when flying my Tiger during the pre-bu
      y, Fred Kokaska experienced so much stiffness in the yoke that he thought t
      he autopilot servo was not disconnecting. A local autopilot shop thought th
      e same (!) until Fred and Warren Eding discovered that the chain and possib
      ly other related parts, had never been lubricated by the factory and were c
      orroded. Fred lubricated the chain and the controls moved freely. Since the
      n, you and I have addressed this issue and, I believe, lubricated part or a
      ll of the assembly. I will appreciate your recommendation after reading SB-
      194.=0AThank-you,=0ABert=0A=0A=0A=0ABegin forwarded message:=0A=0AFrom: "Ke
