Does anyone have information about our heated pitot tubes? The question I have is about the heating element. I was told that they are replaceable by one person but called a shop that told me that they are not. The shop said that the blade style has a replaceable element kit but that ours does not. As the replacement cost of the unit is prohibitable I am hoping some of you guys have a workaround.

I hardly ever look at this list because I can't read it. Seems like a lot of good info but with all the "c2==A2="" and stuff I get a headache just looking at it. Not all the posts but alwats Gary's. I assumed it was just me. Not my part to complain so I just read the Grumman gang. The simple text version is the same. Ray Owen

This will significantly reduce the amount of data that needs to be resent to all of the members on the List and, more importantly, it will substantially reduce the amount of "unreadable" data that often ends up in the messages. Outlook is notorious for sending lots of formatting data along with the text of the message. There are input filters on the Matronics lists to clean out most of this extra data, but there's still some that gets though. Right now, everyone should go to their email client configuration and look in the Sending Email configuration and set it to ONLY send plain text messages. Everyone will thank everyone if everyone does it! :-) Best regards, Matt Dralle Matronics Email List Admin - Matt "Red Dawg" Dralle RV-8 #82880 N998RV "Ruby Vixen" http://www.mattsrv8.com - Matt's Complete RV-8 Construction Log http://www.mattsrv8.com/Mishap - Landing Mishap Rebuild Log http://www.youtube.com/MattsRV8 - Matt's RV-8 HDTV YouTube Channel Status: 170+ Hours TTSN - Rebuilding Fuselage After Landing Mishap...
