Looks like something from a James Bond movie.

Have not heard anything on the landing light lens issue. Were you going to take
care of us?

I posted ...maybe I didn't do it right. They are going to make the
landing light lens. It was an error where a lens didn't fit a Piper and
the Piper owner wanted the sq. sheet to make the lens cover. Lo Presti
stated it was a mistake and I should be getting a lens cut to size and also
some free Speed Coat due to the error. They responded that Monday--I don't
have the lens cover yet but it should have shipped yesterday.
Thanks,
Carol

Subject: | Re: Tiger - LoPresti Cowl |
That is great for you Carol. I was following up to see if lopresti was going
to take care of the rest of us who have defective landing light covers like you
had. Cracked lenses on lopresti nose bowls are unfortunately not uncommon.
I've seen hundreds of the factory lenses and very few if any are cracked. Many
are hazy and checkered from many years of use, but few if any are cracked
from improper finishing. A landing light lens should last for many years and
hundreds if not thousands of hours. They should not fail in a couple of years
or a few hundred hours.
I'm asking and I think quite fairly, that lopresti provide a new lens cover to
replace the defective one that was provided with our cowl. A customer should
not have to spend more money on such a new product, if it was made properly the
first time.
So I was asking what lopresti's intentions were in regards to replacing the defective
lenses.
Glad they too care of you, now how about the rest of us?
