For a Grumman? Did you mean wing TIPS, as in the fiberglass ends of the wing? There would be no Whitcomb Winglets for a certified Grumman. I'll look through my emails. I too am still interested - ideally it would be great to know what kind of anticipated numbers the enhancement would give. T he lead (wire connection) on the MTH is about a mile long (18 inches?) and I needed to find a place=C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-somewhere above the ac cumulation of oil and dirt to mount it. =C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-Then, of course, the wiring harness from the Controller is really long for a Grum man and I wanted it=C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-to be where someone could R &R the MTH if necessary. =C2-So the connector had to be accessible.=0A=C2 - =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2-Note: =C2-Best Case. =C2-It would be a whole lot better to have the connector right on the MTH housing. =C2 -=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2-Worst Case. Limit length of the lead on the MTH to less than 6 inche s.=0A=0A2) Coil: =C2-Where to put the coil? =C2-Here, there is a differ ence between the two planes. =C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-AA5B: =C2-On th e AA5B, the coil can go to the left of center on the firewall near the top. =C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2-I put it so that the #1 and #3 coil towers straddled the Carb heat ca ble.=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-AG5B: =C2-There are a lot of wires in the midd le on the AG. =C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2 - =C2- =C2-I put the coil under the wires toward the right side of th e panel.=0A=0A=0A3) Controller: =C2-The installation of the controller an d the MAP sensor are also different=0A=C2- =C2- =C2-AA5B: =C2-On th e AA5B, the controller can go above the copilots right peddle on the firewa ll near the top and just under the "U" channel.=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2 - =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2-I used sheet metal screws into the firewall. =C2-The unit is light and the screws worked great. =C2- =0A=C2- =C2- =C2-AG5B: =C2-There are a lot of wires all over the ba ck of the firewall on the AG. =C2-=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2-There is literally no free space without moving something.=C2-=0A=0A=C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2 -
