The impedance is minor and only affects the quality of the match between the scanner and the headset. The jack... well that is something else... YES, you could make an adapter so things fit. So, what kind of jack is on the scanner? Just hoping I could save buying another headset. This will be my first NASCAR in person and I was told i should get a scanner .
