Just goes to prove sometimes you can fool Mother Nature and Physics. Flight on a circle. mpg I saw something like unto that at OSH a dozen or more years ago. The wing was canted back rather than an oval in the same plane, such that it was more of a canard design. The fact that you don't see more of such things clearly means that it isn't really better. Wonder how that fuselage would have flown if they'd just made it into a plain old negative stagger bi-plane, rather than trying to make it have "no tips". This sort of thing has been proposed many times before, often by those that should have known better.... http://aero.stanford.edu/reports/nonplanarwings/ClosedSystems.html --Bob Steward >Climb out looked anemic. >Design goes back to the '40's. >The plane should go back to the scrap pile. >The pilot should go back to the asylum. >Just goes to prove sometimes you can fool Mother Nature and Physics. >Barry > >this is just ugly. and, ugly doesn't work for me. > >Check out this video on YouTube: > >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6A1mSh0DB8&feature=youtube_gdata_player > >Gary ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message teamgrumman-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/TeamGrumman-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/teamgrumman-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/teamgrumman-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
