I didn't have to remove the wing because I d idn't have someone breathing down my neck asking if the plane was finished. S o I could sit under the wing in some heinously contorted position an hour or so at a time spread over several weeks. Once I started to hurt because of " bad posture" I would quit for the day and go shoot the shit with some of the old guys that just hang around the airport. It's always a major pain dealing with sealants at low temps. It costs a fortune to heat a whole hangar, Back in Minnesota we would sometimes tent the work area within the hanger with clear plastic-- the whole plane has to be covered or the airframe will conduct away any heat you bring to bear.
