Subject: | 50 shades of gray |
I painted the wingtip on this customers plane. -I used the paint code in
the logbook for when the plane was painted. -It was obviously a lot more
gray than the wing. -I removed the ELT cover and some access covers. -T
hey are all different shades of white and gray. -The horizontal on one si
de is a different color than on the other side. -The dorsal is a differen
t color than the vertical. -They are close, but not the same. -It's an
interesting mix of colors.

Part of the fun of paint. ;-)
A skilled painter can spray several colors out of the same can of paint.

Depends on how the field approval is written.
At least it doesn't look like it was cut in half with a CHAINSAW, like some I've
seen.

boot and had had standing water around it!
