Is it me, or are others having trouble with the 149-12LS starter?=0A=0AWhen
these starters first came out, I called Les and told him he needed to adju
st the hole by about .020 to make it fit better. -This one is off every b
it of .100 inches. -Not only that, I had to grind off the top of the brac
e to the alternator because the relief was not deep enough.=0A=0AI've had t
wo owners who bought Plane Power alternators and removed them because they
were too noisy. -High pitched whine in the headset. -I replaced them wi
th the old Kelly overhaul and it was fine. -I still have the second PP al
ternator in a box on my shelf. -It has about 10 hours on it. -=0A=0ASev
eral years ago, I installed a PP alternator in a 2005 AG5B. -The spacers
that came with the alternator didn't fit the application. -Rather than ex
changing the parts, PP made the owner buy the correct spacers. -=0A=0AJus
t my experience . . . . . . . . .
