Announcing an upcoming AYA Region 3/SE Fly-in to be held on Saturday, March
29th, 2014, beginning at 10am, at Roosevelt Memorial Airport (5A9,) in War
m Springs, GA. The fly-in is hosted by AYA members Lou, Dena & Brittany Ev
ans.
5A9 is a quaint, 5000' paved, lighted, uncontrolled airport originally buil
t in 1939 and named after President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, whose "Winte
r White House," now a Georgia State Historical Site, is minutes away.
Our fly-in will start with an informal "meet and greet" at our hangar, foll
owed by a delicious, lip-smackin' Southern-style luncheon at the "Court Squ
are Caf=C3=A9" in nearby Greenville, GA. After lunch, we will then travel
to nearby Warm Springs, which is only a short drive away from the restauran
t, and there, we will tour Roosevelt's famous and well-appointed "Little Wh
ite House," where he died in April of 1945.
Ground transportation will be provided to all locations.

For aeronautical planning purposes, 5A9 is a well-marked, lit and easy to u
se airport that is approximately 45NM SSW of KATL and sits well outside of
KATL's Class B airspace. It boasts a newly paved 5000' runway, and there i
s ample tie-down space on the field. Presently, there are no active FBOs o
n the airfield, and thus, no true on-site maintenance. However, there is a
n airport lounge with bathrooms, drinking water, planning room, etc..
Self-serve 100LL fuel is available on the field and is currently priced at
$5.35 per gallon.
This event is open to all AYA Members, their guests and Grumman friends, ev
erywhere. We hope you will make plans to come and join us for this taste o
f down-home, Georgia friendship and fun!

Poor Randel,
Looks like he was a victim of the "Linked-In hijacks your god damn email a
ccount and fucking spams every contact you have." This happened to me once a
nd I had to spend a day sending out email apologies and retractions. It was f
ucking worse than the time hackers hacked my email and started spamming abso
lutely random people. What is worse is when you sign up for Linked In they t
rick you into thinking it is just part of the services they provide and spam
every contact you have. For those that don't know Linked In is supposed to
be a more grown up, professional version of Facebook for professional conta
ct and skills management and job searching.
